
HFSS Legislation
Brands are now looking at HFSS compliance across their marketing materials, allowing consumers to make conscious decisions on what they eat. I’ve spend some months learning and understanding how this will affect the way I develop recipes and implications on nutrition.

A space to create…
Almost a year ago now I got the keys to an old industrial mill building in Leeds after instantly falling in love with the space. It took a hell of a lot of graft in between large projects to work on the space and I couldn’t be prouder. As part of my growing business I was in desperate need of a kitchen space (that wasn’t my home) that I could get my teeth stuck into larger recipe development projects and improve logistics and efficencies.

Morrisons Food to Order 2021
Another summer, another Christmas brochure. Earlier in the sweltering summer I worked on a familiar job, a five week Christmas project for Morrisons. Shot in a food photography studio here in Leeds we created shots for the brochure, online, social and POS. A project I look forward to food styling each year, it’s great to see how it evolves one year to the next.

Recipe Development and Food Styling for Pilgrims Choice
Earlier In the year I was contacted by Pilgrims Choice to create 35 New Recipes for their website, social media streams and POS. Having the new development kitchen payed off massively in facilitating such a large project. I was able to develop prep and store everything ahead of the food photography shoot in Leeds.

Morrisons Food to Order Christmas 2020
Another great shoot, 6 weeks of Turkeys, pigs in blankets and Christmas puddings in the height of Summer. Working in a Leeds Food Photography Studio I worked along side two other food stylists and three food photographers to capture the entire of the Morisons’s Christmas food offers for Both print and Digital.

Recipes and Food Styling for Kerrygold
A great project to work on with Kerrygold UK and Ireland. A month of developing recipes that highlight the use of butter with cooking not just your bog standard garlic butter! I developed the recipes in the new development kitchen, tasting and perfecting the recipe weights and methods along with a nutritional report that keeps the brand in line with the latest HFSS legislation.
