Negative Space
As a self confessed hoarder of foodie magazines I always admire the clever use of negative space in a shot that the recipe wraps around so seamlessly.
Japanese was the the theme of the shoot and negative space was the aim. One day I’ll come across a graphic designer with some spare time to add the recipes to these.
Squid, Tiger Prawn and Pork Belly Noodle dishes with coloured noodles to reflect the ingredient and flavour notes.
Mimicking Natural light with studio flash is always the aim although we did go a little creative with the shaft of light on the pork belly shot.
